Electroplated Diamond and CBN Mounted Points

Product Information

Overview

Electroplated mounted points. Nickel holds one coat of abrasive on the head. Wet grinding is standard. Replace the point when the coat is dull.

  • Straight shank: cylinder, ball, cone, cup, or needle — small internal work a wheel cannot reach
  • Taper shank: flanged head with a slotted face, seated on the machine spindle
  • Shank is the machine interface; order by head diameter, form, and shank
  • Diamond for carbide, ceramics, glass, and fused quartz
  • CBN for hardened steel dies, punches, and steel bores

Applications:

  • Small bores, radii, and corners in dies and molds
  • Carbide orifices, ceramic bushings, and similar hard ID
  • Chamfer and seat in glass or quartz fittings
  • Face grinding on a taper-shank spindle
  • Hardened steel ID and die details where a plated CBN head is specified

Thin cut-off stays on electroplated cut-off. A small 1A1 / 1V1 wheel with a hole or a short shank, on a jig or ID grinder, stays on jig / internal.

Versus jig / internal

Same nickel plate. Different body. Not interchangeable with jig / internal wheels.
