Optical Glass
Optical and technical glass need controlled edge quality and kerf. We build metal-bond cups and cut-off wheels — and electroplated options when thin kerf comes first.
Typical processes

What we supply
- Metal-bond cups and 1A1R for edge, arris, and production cut-off
- Electroplated thin-kerf when life is secondary to cut width
- Spec by material (optical glass, quartz, ceramics), wet/dry, and machine
When this is the wrong path
- Carbide flutes or saw teeth → resin bond diamond
- Hardened steel OD → vitrified CBN
- Architectural glass edge with long life as first spec → metal × glass (our Glass line)
